Greetings in the name of Lord Jesus Christ -
I am John Dowell and I have come from a Hindu family and into the life of Christianity and into the life of Jesus Christ our Lord. Before this I had not known Jesus Christ on a personal basis. I had been worshipping Indian Hindu Idols because we belonged to the religion of Hinduism. My parents had developed Hindu devotionalism and had done so since childhood. But I had often been thinking, "What is the meaning of life and what kind of life should man lead?" I had no answer for my questions and I found some major draw backs in my life at that time. I had been studying B.Com. (Graduation) and same time suffering from many health problems and dealing with family problems, and Satan had authority on each and everything in my life without my knowledge of such things. One day a Godly servant (Missionary) came to my house and was preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to my mother. I heard that Gospel and I argued with the missionary pertaining to this Jesus; as we also have many Gods in the belief system of Hinduism.
Our forefathers worshipped and since have passed away now. He came here and was saying scriptural truths in regards to Jesus who is the God of all Nations. The question I had was; "How can we believe your words and the words of this Jesus?" He asked me was there any God who conceived by Holy Spirit and sacrificed His life and blood for the sins of all men. But I said to him give me one Week's time and I would have an answer to give to him. I had been searching the Hindu Vedanthas, but I got no answers to those very questions. Afterwards I read the Bible and got the answers I needed and I also got answers to my questions.
When I was reading the Bible God had spoken to me through His word in the Bible. That is if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, and the old things have passed away, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17.
Suddenly I confessed my sins and received the Lord Jesus Christ as my own personal Lord, God, and Savior. I was then baptized in Christ Jesus and I committed my whole life to Christ and to the poor children in this area and will until the end of my age and life time. Now, I have been working as an evangelist and social worker in tribal areas, rural areas and where the Gospel of Christ has not yet been proclaimed. I started this ministry in the year of 2001 ESHCOLE MINISTRIES and God has been working mightily through this ministry for the salvation of His people who desperately need Him. We have been doing many projects in India, such as social welfare projects and Christian works, gospel festivals and meetings, including Sunday schools, children ministry, village Gospel ministry, urban Gospel ministry, and hospital ministry.
There are ten pastors working through this ministry and in this area, we together are working for God under our ministry in four villages and tribal areas. We have 40 tribal children as orphans, and it is very difficult to feed them. Because we have no financial support from any organization or sponsorships the task ahead has been a battle, but we will prevail in and under Christ Jesus to do what He has called us to do in His great name. Our whole congregation is very poor, nevertheless many now know Christ Jesus, and many are financially poor to give to the cause of God generously. So please if Jesus inspires you in this area and in this part of ministry than stretch out your generous hand to help the servants of God in this area to help feed, cloth, and educate the tribal children monthly.
Now we want by the leading of Holy Spirit to do a GOSPEL FESTIVAL revival here in India this year. So we invite you to this festival as a main speaker. Otherwise please stretch out your generous hand so that these Gospel festivals in mention will be successful and brought about and the needs of the people can be met in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
GOD HAS PROMISSED US "I WILL BE WITH THEE, I WILL NEVER LEAVE THEE NOR FORSAKE THEE" - HEBREWS 13:5.

1) KANTHERU VILLAGE
In this village we have conducted gospel rallies of about 100 members who were eager to participate in this rally in honor of Jesus Christ our Lord. We never expected that God would do His promised miracles as much as He did in this rally; we preached the gospel and had done some social awareness programs on child labor. During this rally about 30 people agreed to receive Jesus Christ as their personal savior. For this we all Praise God, Hallelujah. Please pray for all these people so that the Lord may prepare their hearts and prepare their minds for water and spiritual baptisms.
2) YANADI COLONY
In this village, we have distributed gospel tracts to 500 people who were all Hindu & Muslim. It was very hard to distribute the tracts here, but somehow by the grace and mercy of God it was accomplished successfully. Please pray for them, so that the Lord would touch and change them all in the great and most awesome name of Jesus.
3) GUNTUR
In this city we have completed the local pastor's conference regarding our steps in our Lord's work. We have introduced to you the local pastors as the "JERRY BRANDT MINISTRIES", we have also prayed for you at the "Today Is Your Day Ministries" so that we can maintain good contacts in the future for the building up of our Lord's kingdom. Please pray for us as well.
4) NALLADIBBA ( TRIBAL AREA )
In this area, we have reached nearly 40 tribal children left as orphans. Everyday we visit the orphans and teach them bible and secular studies. We have started a church service here and we want to construct one church building among all the tribal people in this area; this very thing will cost $1000.00 to accomplish and complete. So again please pray for this need to be met and fulfilled.
We now want to expand our work of the gospel to four more villages in the area, so please pray for the above things stated and please lift up our needs to the people who partake of your ministry so that they will come along side of us and help us meet these dire needs so desperately needed among this people. It is all for the work and glory of Jesus Christ and to introduce His saving grace in the hearts and lives of people. Without the help of the people there is not a whole lot we can do, but we do what we can and with what God has provided and has given in order to fulfill His gospel and life giving message to a people who so greatly desire relationship with Him.
